Sustainability & Climate Change Consultant

Job Description

Development of greenhouse gas (GHG)/carbon inventories and management strategies for and/or on behalf of clients.
Synthesis and professional presentation of data.
Providing direction, mentorship, and support to junior staff in area of expertise.
Innovate and prepare proposals and scoping of initiatives and projects.
Stay up to date on industry trends and reporting frameworks.
Present to various audiences and clients.
Collaborate with colleagues internally and externally with clients and stakeholders to offer full suite of supporting services.
Skills
Approximately 10+ years of experience in key elements climate change advisory services, including but not limited to experience with decarbonization and energy transition strategy, climate risk, and disclosure as well as experience with energy transition.
Preferably 5+ years of experience in a consulting and leading advisory team(s) in areas of:
o   Climate and decarbonization strategy development and implementation.
o   Techno-economic modelling of carbon reduction.
o   Climate change risk assessments.
o   Carbon accounting and disclosure.
 Proven ability and experience to coach, counsel, and guide clients and junior staff in areas of expertise.
Bachelor’s degree in Environment/Engineering/Business Management is required.
Graduate degree (Masters or Doctorate) is preferable.
Formal qualification in Sustainability and/or environmental management is an asset.
Experience in professional event setting, e.g., conferences, works, seminars, etc.
Experience in Qatar and/or the Middle East.
Excellent analytical, organizational and people skills.
Flexibility and ability to work autonomously and continuously innovate.
